A number of people have expressed confusion about why the site is for sale at this point. Parkers Strategic Land are not property developers; in these situations it is not unusual to see sites sold on to a property developer.
Whoever buys the site will need to submit detailed proposals and apply for full planning consent based on the approved outline planning terms. That will include the s106 agreement to mitigate the effects of the development in the community.
However, the new site owners will have an opportunity to change the layout, and some other details shown on the original outline application. They will also have to submit all proposals for consultation. In addition, the scheme will require full planning approval by BDC, before any development can begin. That means residents and other consultees, such as the Parish Council, will have another opportunity to have their say before development starts.
